You could be right, Sisyphos…but it looks too short to reach EB’s head from the floor — unless the base and shade are huge in proportion.
And the helical cord seems to be hanging straight down from the base.Eeerie……

The lamp is on the floor to create the eerie lighting effects – “tip toe tip toe…” – in panel three. What a great strip.

I think the strip would have been better had Meddick not told us in panel 4 that panel 3 was a “The Shining” reference. Give your readers some credit, Jim. Your strip ain’t Pluggers, y’know.
