    Yes, the school theme may sound off on August first- but that’s where the scripts began, and we were given the start date by the syndicate. So we just figure the gags don’t have to correspond precisely to what day they appear on.

    You should work on an asteroid hitting your school, Maria; it would last longer. Love the helmet too!!p.s. @ Scott Roberts – The school theme works great with me in the Atlanta area. School starts on Aug 13 (it used to start earlier), and we meet their teachers next week, so school is definitely on our minds. Finishing up school supply shopping this week (that would be an arc that you could do… Maria sliding in her own additions to the standard school supply list). I love this comic and the fact that you guys are involved in the comments, so keep it up! :-)

    I can sympathize with Maria. Even if you could ace a test with ease, tests are still boring. Better to have a snow day. Yay!
