They actually had a story on the Weather Channel about why it rains more on weekends. According to them, it’s a more modern phenomenon having to do with more car usage during the week (commuters) throwing exhaust into the atmosphere which accumulates over the course of the week and tends to come down in the form of rain on weekends (when the accumulation eases up a bit). I’m not staking claim to this explanation – just passing it on.
Wait just a darn minute! I have always been told it’s because more people wash their cars on the weekend? Are they trying to tell me that more than 50 years of what I have always thought to be real knowledge is now being called into question? What’s next NASA being shut down and the United States having to pay the Russians to carry our… Oh Ya that has already happened!
