I’m over 50 & the advertisers don’t care about anyone outside the coveted 18-49 age bracket. 1 of last years most watched scripted shows Harry’s Law got canned because the demo was too low among 18-49 & they couldn’t figure out how to make a profit with those numbers.

Amen to that. Us over 50’s have our mortgages paid off, over 60’s are often retired and have discretionary income the under 50’s are just dreaming of now. And I don’t mean advertising Colace and Viagra; us old gals buy clothes, make-up, shoes, books, eat out, go to shows. Our old guys go to sporting events, play golf eat out, etc. Wise up, advertisers.

@lluvnancyYou got that right. A lot of the advertising for the over 50 crowd is health related(prescription drugs, over the counter remedies), not that it’s a bad thing, but that’s all there is. Fashions, hair care products, television, movies and such aren’t geared to us at all, just the younger crowd. It’s like they forgot we still exist. We still buy those things but we need it to be geared to us to be really usable. We may be getting on in years but we still matter.
