They do get a little wound up, over there. I don’t know what propelled him to go there in the first place.

I dunno…. looks like a happy place to me!

They’d heard that some of those fancy spas and exercise clubs downtown have “spinning” classes….whatever that is….

Surely they’ve put a new spin on it.

Warren just doesn’t want to get with the program….He’s afraid to let down his guard…it might be too easy for life to spin out of control.

Meanwhile…. I made it back to Ballard St….thanks, Stel, for asking…and Bev, I don’t think they can put the soap on a rope for us…that would make it awfully expensive for them to donate…and I already have a supply, which I think is adequate, of these…

And just last week, Lem down at Ballard Street Overnight Printing and Upholstery gave me this sample gift bag and said they’d be willing to make up and donate 243 of them.

I said I’d let him know if we needed them….would they work for the soap?.

The folks at the Community Center certainly seem centered. And I hear the fridge is well-stocked with Propel water.

Future Sheriff Monkeyblues announced this morning that he has arranged a truce between the warring factions of the Feline Front and the Canine Corps by promising propeller beanies to all. Political pundits have proclaimed this to be a brilliant election strategy. FlyKittyFly has fully endorsed the truce, and encourages his troops to stand down.

Cats everywhere are intrigued with the propellers…

Most dogs are on board with it…

FSMB t-shirts are all set to be distributed down at the Community Center…

But , some dogs, like Roscoe, are still wary and reserving judgement…

(NOTE: purple beanies to coordinate with Ballard Purple Fashions are special order. See beviek for details.)

( @Redkaycei Repoc :Early poll results show Warren’s numbers are plummeting. Do you think he’ll withdraw from the race, or regroup with his campaign committee to form a new strategy?)

IMudd — I completely agree with you about overzealous public officials and overly picky regulations and their strict enforcement.

I’m supporting MonkeyBlues not only cos he’s a pal, but also cos I think he can keep an eye on what matters, like public safety (including dangerously armed cats and errant missiles)…without trying to turn Ballard County into Stepford.

The evidence from his past suggests that he understands the creative and somewhat free-wheeling nature of our community…Now and then he postures a bit about the civil code, and prosecuting this or that sort of offender …but it IS an election year.

And he IS both a musician and a monkey!’Nuff said right there!

Linguist…. Thank you.I’m sure Lem and the gang will be appreciative, and knowledge of a reward coming later might get those bags out a little faster…(gosh that sounds like an ad for overnight eye cream.)

That reminds me: apparently I read the sign wrong….looking at the business card I see it’s really“Ballard Street Printing and Overnight Upholstery. "

Jo, sorry I missed your post before…

Like our future sheriff, I do hope you stick around and enjoy the comments…. and if you don’t like skipping over the pictures…. well, maybe if you take another look you’d enjoy them! Some are really funny, and most of us get an extra laugh from them.I for one would never post any, were most of the responses negative.

It’s just not possible for every reader to precisely regulate any forum to his or her taste…but we do our best to go along with what seems to be the consensus….and we’re glad if you stop by.

Meanwhile….I came back to say…I hope I’m not being silly…but I’m…. well….I’m a bit worried about what’s going on down at Ballard St. Printers and Overnight Upholstery….

You see, I was taking a closer look at the gift bag, which has a shiny photographic finish…and I saw something that’s got me wondering….

    are they using prison labor??

I might be seeing things, but it looks like there are people behind those stri …um… bars.

    Does anybody else see anything?

    x_tech …. Love your survey…

It hadn’t shown up when I thanked you a couple of hours ago…even though it supposedly preceded my long posts.

The thanks was for directing Molly to your formatting page.

And thanks to Linguist too….I’m not really worried about those people reflected in the bag being loose in the streets, (naive as that may be) … but about the illegal use of prison labor and possible illicit dealings or corruption that led to its availability…IF that’s what it was.(No accusations.)

Lem seems like such a nice guy, has two sweet kids at Ballard High…and frankly is NOT the sharpest knife in the drawer…when it comes to subterfuge I doubt he can spell it.

In fact it’s possible that his wife ties his shoes.
