For twenty years I only had four hours on and off sleep each night (no known cause). I was constantly tired. Suddenly one night, I slept all the way through and for the last two years all’s been well – only I’m more tired than ever.

I can’t imagine jet lag lasting four days; she must have some other problem as well, like not being able to sleep in a strange bed.
