Okay, I agree with the outrage over the Olympic uniforms being made in China. But what would we have if we didn’t buy Chinese-made goods? No cell phones, no TVs, no recorders, no or few kitchen appliances, and on and on. Let’s not criticize people for having Chinese-made goods when that’s all that available for a reasonable (aka buying on a median inomce budget) price. Let’s penalize companies that outsource/offshore.
Strange that Willard refuses to weigh in on the topic, even on Fox ‘News’. When he ran the olympics, where were the uniforms and commemorative buttons made?
My tape recorder was made in Japan! But I bought it there, in 1967, and it still works! What concerned me for a long time about “American Made”, WAS quite often the quality, and “planned obsolete” component. That wasn’t “unions”, it was MANUFACTURERS! It’s also what helped destroy American business that keeps getting overlooked.
