I heard about a little boy who was a born optimist. He badly wanted a pony for Christmas. His dad was a pessimist and couldn’t tolerate the kid’s rosy outlook, so on Christmas morning he had a ton of horse mature deposited on the lawn. To his surprise, the boy eagerly began digging through the pile of manure. “What do you think you are doing, son?”, dad said. The boy replied, “With this much manure, ther’s bound to be a pony here somewhere.”
