Every time I saw a height listed for these elfs it seemed to 4"9". Where do you find well nourished physically fit teenagers that short? In high schools 50 years ago if a girl was only five foot she would noticeably the shortest girl in class.
well, definitely pre-adolescent, but a human being performing in competition, trained to perfection, at a most difficult physical undertaking is beauty incarnate.the sad fact is that older or taller girls in this competition cannot compete at the same supreme level that these short young girls can. that is what the olympics are about: to determine the best in the world
It was my understanding that these gymnasts were supposed to be 16 years or older. If that’s the case, then these girls are somehow arresting their development – either chemically, hormonally , or physiologically – in order to remain “elfin”.No matter, the can tape-delay all they want. I wont be watching.
There were always rumors that the Eastern Bloc countries did in fact chemically delay their girl gymnasts development. I’m not sure if it was ever proven (although it WAS later proven that all those East German female swimmers and female weightlifters had more testosterone in them than the average Sumo wrestler………..)

My female cousin is 5’11" and until her type 1 diabetes sent ther to the hospital during a meet, she was a national level gymnast.
