She looks a little plump in the rump. And baggy boobed. That position is not flattering and she is gently sinking into the grave??? Death does not become her!!!Why he wants to know.? Well, because we all want to know. We have been set up for several months now…..lets get on with it. I want to know!!Blessed Be

This series of panels is very symbolic of Flask’s sinking sense of being mired in her past.Electromatic Radio, you’re soaking in it.

You swine, Mister Neathery. Just as I was about to write Philomena Flask off as a Bad Person, I’m now going to be forced to see things from her point of view. I may even feel sympathy for her. This is going against all the textbook requirements of comic strip villains. Are you trying to confuse me with real life complexity? Will I have to read this story out to the end before I understand? Why are you such a good writer? Grr.

It’s either going to be catharsis or Marx is about to feel pain again…

For all of us who have been trying to figure out just who AM is, I think it’s now perfectly clear. If I may be so bold, “We have met Aaron Marx, and he is US.” He is an Endtown fan. An “everyfan” if you will. Aaron has come up with yet another ingenious way to tell us things we’ve been dying to know. AM stepped into the story back in Feb. when everything seemed lost and did just what all of us longed to do ourselves, pluck our heroes from the jaws of disaster. He floated invisibly above the landscape, seeing all and having full knowledge of the story so far, but not omniscient. He was still missing some key information. Wally’s backstory was easy to get, it was straining to burst out of him, and needed only a nudge to open the floodgates. Flask, however, proved a much tougher nut to crack. It is only now, with all the others safely back in Endtown, that he can devote his entire attention to her. As TSOJ has said, it’s only now, with the last of her considerable defenses stripped away, that her story can be told. Our questions will finally have their long awaited answers, and the crazy psycho cat we all really love deep down inside, will find peace at last.

Oh, she won’t find peace, but she may be able to go on living. Not always the same thing.

She can’t be a total villain. After all, nobody’s perfect.

This has to be all in her mind, look at how much weight she is carrying. She is not fat at all, it is her self image.

Flask’s appearance is changing. At first she’s small compared to AM. I’m noticing now, how she can’t straighten up. I think the weight of who she is is “weighing” on Flask.

So this is where Flask opens up and tells us her story! Yes! I always thought of the “goop on the floor” as a swirling mist of clouds, similar to those in dreams of being in limbo or purgatory…

Too many comments to pick any one to answer directly…. But I wouldn’t trust a desperate Flask to get anywhere near me…let alone grab me. I still think she shows too much of the Topsider cruel streak. There have been moments in her short time with us where she seemed to show compassion (she “euthanized” the child mutant) and even inner conflict over deciding a bad fate. (as she got trapped in her handling of Al and Gustine). But her cruelty and/or coldness has been the rule. There is no doubt that Flask has become one of the most charismatic characters in Endtown world.

I hate to bring up gender standards, but growing up and reading stories from books, seeing movies, and TV shows, we used to remember that the bad guys were call “villains” and the bad gal was called “villainesses”, same as females that do magic is called a “witch” and males that do magic is called a “warlock”. Nowadays because of the era we live in, people today called both genders who do evil just “villains”, and both genders that do magic just “witches”.

    @Original Josh

Me too, Josh. We live now in a world of “who gives a ****”. Folks could less about standards, they’re just the “call it whatever and let’s just leave it at that” types. To qoute my old yiddish friend, “Oy vey!”.

What I Did For Love Lyrics from A Chorus Line

[Diana]Kiss today goodbye,The sweetness and the sorrow.Wish me luck, the same to you.But I can’t regretWhat I did for love, what I did for love.Look my eyes are dry.The gift was ours to borrow. It’s as if we always knew,And I won’t forget what I did for love,What I did for love.Gone,Love is never gone.As we travel on,Love’s what we’ll remember.Kiss today goodbye,And point me t’ward tomorrow. We did what we had to do.Won’t forget, can’t regretWhat I did forLove[All]What I did forLove[Diana]What I did for…[All (adding more voices each phrase)]LoveLove is never goneAs we travel oneLove’s what we’ll rememberKiss today goodbye.[Diana]And point me t’ward tomorrow.[All]Point me t’ward tomorrowWe did what we had to do.Won’t forget, can’t regretWhat I did for love. What I did for love.[Diana]What I did for love[All]Love

It’s like she finally found someone who wanted to know what she thinks. She looks like she’s going to tell us the whole long story. I would like to know what Petey looked like before, it’s easy to picture what most of them , but Petey , not a clue. She does have a right to be mad since Somebody killed her loved one. And just a little while back I was cheering that she was dead and couldn’t cause trouble any more.

I thought the stuff looked a lot like The ocean on a not very clean beach. That was a good point about the self-image, all females think they are fatter than they really are. I enjoyed everyone’s comments!

Really interesting comments from many on the nature of what Marx and Flask are standing on. I hadn’t noticed the subtle rise of white “gunk” (or sinking of Flask).

Could we keep politics out of this? There’s a convention happening right now down in Florida that I could care less about!

Dora please, we have folks here of all political flavors and we manage to come together peacefully to celebrate our common love of Endtown. In the end, you are free to comment as you will, but I would ask you to please consider not bringing that divisive slice of reality in here to poison our fantasy.
