I wonder if Moe Syzlak opened up an establishment in the U.K.

We all suffer from a condition commonly known as “sleep commenting”.

There seem to be a lot of us Leos out there.

We have here what’s called an “Alphabetical Pub Crawl.” Start with an “A” pub, then go to a “B”, and so on. One drink per pub only. By the time you reach “K”, many are crawling. Sometimes you start with “K” just to add some variety.

Better be careful, Andy, you’ve enough on your plate already…

They’re a very good group.

I’m not sure of this either, but it’s in my mind that Flo’s mum was never shown. She was always off panel [if that’s a correct phrase], and was only a voice.

Carlton was also the name of the unseen doorman in Rhoda, a TV sitcom that was a spinoff of The Mary Tyler Moore Show, and of the cigarettes I smoked for many years.

I like the portrait of Flo’s mum. What has happened to her now? I don’t think she has been mentioned in these new strips since I have been reading them. She was always chipping in before. Always heard but never seen, apart from her foot or a fist in one of the famous dust ups.

I don’t think Andy’s mum was ever seen or heard. In the old books I have, there were a couple of references to her. In one, Flo called upstairs to Andy to talk to his mother whilst she pegged the washing out. He replied with something like “The things I have to do for you.” They didn’t seem close, but if he was my son, I would disown him.

I was a little slow on the uptake there, mate. Sincere apologies. Nice reference.
