the line now is about 2 hours – they’re running it on one elevator, other 2 are out of order. We got in the line, waited for the 2 hours, then just when we came to the billet office the wind started blowing and we could only go up to the 2nd floor, not the top :(
(I&hubby have been 2 times already but the kids never. They were irritated…)
Maybe I’m unromantic, but I can’t imagine waiting 2 hours just to see a view of normal city buildings. Hiking for two hours to get a great view of a waterfall/mountain/valley/other is totally different.
A Wyoming State Library poster about libraries bringing the world to Wyoming shows the Tower as a ranch windmill (another shows the Trojan Horse tod by a pickup).
