Jason, your father’s barely awake; he’s not in the mood for puns.

That’s mean, even by Jason’s standards. You DON’T mess with a morning coffee.

Yuck! Jason attempted a gross Frank & Ernest style pun.

It was much better the time Jason gave him the ‘java’ to get his day started – except it was Java source code.

I don’t drink coffee, but even I think that was just plain rude.

The only thing that will keep Roger from lashing out is if he actually has his joe.

Loogie free? I’m impressed by Jason’s restraint.

To borrow from Steven Brust:

“Jason, don’t try to be funny until after you dad’s had his coffee. If you try to be funny before your dad’s had his coffee, I’ll have to kill you. And then I’ll be sad.”.“Well, I wouldn’t want you to be sad.”

That was sooo not funny.

Seems exactly like something I would have said/done as a kid. And for some strange reason, I feel a sudden urge to punch Stephen Pastis.
