I remember… mixed emotions, Far too many of us did not come back. – Ex POW, Philippines.

Back from the war, those who came back whole, were the fortunate ones. Manila was a shambles, the bay filled with sunken ships and Coreggidor tunnel still with decaying bodies of Japanese soldiers’ When my ship pulled in there.
