I too love the radio’s question mark and also the use of the moon’s disappearance to show the passage of time and length of the speech.

Old Time Radio also gave us The Radio Priest Father Coughlin…a guy who makes Rush Limbaugh look like Edward R. Murrow
Remember when Jimmy Carter tried to do “Fireside Chats”? He wore a turtleneck and sat by a fireplace. It went over like a lead balloon.“They pre-empted Quark for this?!” I screamed.
