    Best use for asparagus I’ve ever seen. Not bad for the sprouts either, although I like them better than many seem to.

    Hey! I like asparagus! Brussels sprouts though, those are just NASTY.

    Good grief, Broomie! Have you seen the price of asparagus lately?! Though I like it, I can afford to buy it only as a rare special treat; I’d certainly never use it in lieu of bowling pins!

    I never knew there was a good use for brussel sprouts. But I’d prefer that green beans would be the pins.

    @Sisyphos

    My illusions have been shattered along with the asparagus being bowled over.Thought Broomie was one of us, but now believe she numbers among the 1% to engage in such expensive entertainment.Battered asparagus just doesn’t have the same appeal as asparagus straight out of the can, so it’s no longer fit to be served to anyone.

    Also, battered asparagus is no longer of use after one frame, and there are 10 frames!Only ones useful for recyclng are those used in setting up spare shots, and then they’re done for further use,unless missed.All that asparagus X 10 adds up to a need for a hefty amount of asparagus=big $$$$$ needed to engage in this sport.Brussels sprouts tab come to a lot less, but still considerable expense as wellas there’s a lot of wear and tear on the sprouts.

    And we get to watch the fun for the right price. Free!Also, am into Chinese food as well. Have the menu listings(and phone numbers)for every Chinese take out within a 10 mile radius.There’s a great Chinese buffet nearby (all you can eat). Lunch is $4.99, dinner $6.99.Love to go there and destroy their profit margin.Always leave a pretty good tip,though, as a thanks for the great food and price.
