LOL! I’m not up to Katniss’s skills, but I can hit a broad, moving target at 50 feet. (Not much, I know. But then I’m not an Olympian) :)

Wonder how well modern archers would do if they were allowed only a REAL bow — i.e., a long bow — without all thehi-tech garbage….

One of the Olympic events “I’d like to see” is the traditional combat use of an English Longbow – A one minute timed trial with a 1m rope circle @ 100m, the winner is whoever gets the most arrows in the circle within the time limit.

It is what it is.

Why is Katniss’ arrow burning? I don’t remember her arrows being on fire, although she herself was once or twice.

I see an archers hand but no arm???

Have you seen what they are using for target pistols, this year? They look to me like a semi-automatic pistol with the bottom half of the magazine cut off. Like a Colt 1911 .45 with a magazine holding only two or three rounds.
