Had a cookbook called MANIFOLD DESTINY with recipes to make on top of your engine as you drove to your destination. Lots of heavy duty aluminum foil, and cooking time was calculated in miles once the engine warmed up. Remember keeping a pizza hot on the way home under the hood.
That’s the opposite of what I saw last winter. I looked in my rearview mirror and saw what appeared to be a chicken, on a dash board. I had to circle the parking lot to check it out and yes. A gentleman had a frozen chicken on the dash with the defrost on.
