When I had a cold, I sang “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot” in a nice bass voice.

    It impressed the women. :-)

I’ve always wondered if that was possible. When my voice gets low like that I want to keep it to do radio broadcasting!

According to the mythbusters, Breathing in Sulphur Hexafloride will do that. But, it’s mildly toxic to breath in.

I had laryngitis once, and when I sang I sounded like Dolly Parton.

Last time I had a cold that bad, I sang (if monotone counts) “All Your Base Are Belong to Us.” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fvTxv46ano
