It’s pouring down the rain here in South Sarasota at the moment. Maybe you don’t have pubs in your part of Florida, but I can name five in Sarasota, one in Venice, my local, one in Port Charlotte, and another in Punta Gorda ( my favorite ) called the Celtic Ray. All of these are either English or Irish bars that call themselves pubs and uphold the old country traditions – food, sports, music , and of course great beer, ales, stouts and whiskey !

I got Andy, Dick Tracy, Tumbleweeds, Pogo and others from Dad (not the books, heads up). I heard plenty about L’il Abner and Alley Oop, but our papers, morning and evening, didn’t carry them. I looked at Pogo, but at the time it kinda went over my head.I went out to scrape peely paint off the stairs this afternoon while you guys were in “prime time”. Pretty hot too. It will have been yesterday by the time some of you see this.

That’s Cool. I have saw the Dick Tracy strip before and it’s really well drawn. All the others sound pretty good too.

Is your brother a comics fan too? I think I’m one of the few in my family who is a comic fan.

I hope you get the painting (scraping) done very soon.
