Charlie Brown could write how he went to camp feeling homesick before the bus even left… got called the kid with the funny name on arrival… found out his ball team won it’s first game all season without him…
When I was a kid, telling me to write a 1,000 word essay was like telling me to climb Mt. Everest. But if a project limited me to no more than 1,000 words, I would struggle to edit it down. Maybe Charlie Brown should have asked Snoopy to write it for him.
On Monday, I got up. I ate breakfast. Then I went downtown to look for a job. On Tuesday, I got up. I ate breakfast. Then I went downtown to look for a job. On Wednesday…
I agree with your comment yesterday. I knew there couldn’t have been computers back in the Peanuts era but if there were then Charlie Brown would be able to type up his reports instead of writing.

Then again maybe 8 words is plenty.

I bet Lucy has no problem writing 1,000 words about herself.

I never had any problem writing essays that were too short – quite the reverse!

And, I figured this was Charlie Brown’s reasoning – he didn’t want to recall his summer in any detail.

We came up to 202 words writing the essay yesterday, not quite one page in longhand.

Mine were often on theshort side, but they were never only 8 words long.

I prefer typing to writing anyday!
I always love your cheerful comments.

I always seem to have time to read the comics… I comment on here every day but occasionally I take a break for a few weeks.
I have to be honest… I’m not really a BIG Peanuts fan like yourself but it’s cute enough.
Andy Capp kept me giggling througtout my childhood.
Song for you:

Knowing my bad memory… I have probably sent you this one before. Apologies if I have!
You take care….
