I wonder if Red’s public TV station will offer a selection of school supplies on pledge night?

This being set in the 1960’s, shouldn’t it be called “educational television”?

“School bells ringing, children sing, it’s back to Robert Hall again. Mother knows for better clothes, it’s back to Robert Hall again.” (Old TV jingle that showed up every Aug.)

Turn that TV off, chase some sunshine, and enjoy the days you have left.

Channel 8 in Houston “commenced broadcasting on May 25, 1953 from the Ezekiel W. Cullen Building on the University of Houston campus as the first public television station in the United States, and one of the earliest stations of National Educational Television (NET), which eventually merged into PBS.” from our friend http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KUHT
