Hi, Number Three. Sorry to come on so late. I did a bunch of cleaning today and will be making the first batch of salsa this season tomorrow, with Joe’s homegrown tomatoes. At the beginning and periodically, Barb announces; “Dobro Bob”, “Bassman Todd” and “Hippy Paul”….. and we’re the Hippy Buckaroos ! A Dobro is a type of guitar that inhabits country and western and even bluegrass music.
Look at Dobro here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dobro.I wouldn’t mind a concert type harp but will wait until I can blow my ass off before taking the plunge. It will be a nice reward for a job well done. They did Hotel California, which, Frankly, I am burned out on. Broadcast radio here beats the same top 40 stuff mercilessly. My online radio is much more broad in its playlist._______________________________________________No apology needed. That’s cute about the tomatoes. Joe sounds like an excellent gardener to me.
Thank you so much for the informative link about the Dobro guitars. The images of them are very nice.
‘Dobro Bob’ ‘Bassman Todd and ’Hippy Paul’ Those names are very catchy. (Hippy Paul is interesting) I had to laugh when I saw that name. But it’s really cool!
“Whack” in this sense = mate, pal, chum… usually used, these days, when lampooning 60’s Liverpudlians..“Whack” in the other sense = amount; as in “the full whack”.
