I know how Boody feels. After carefully reading the instruction manual (which is far larger than the phone) three times and meticulously following the instructions several times, I had to go to the phone store to get a technician to set things the way I wanted. It took him two tries and consultation with another tech. I still don’t know how to use 90% of the gee-whizz stuff the phone can do.

My solution, Boody, is that I don’t have one of those “gadgety” phones. (In fact, no cell phone at all.)

“Wait! It makes phone calls too!? AWESOME!”That’s probably one of the least worst things he could have accidentally photographed.

I have a Stupid Phone. It makes AND receives phone calls. Don’t need all those fancy-shmancy dodads that are “free”(?) and eat up batteries like a hungry lion eating it’s daily meal.

My family just got smartphones this weekend. Very little is intuitive, and very little is in the manual. What’s worse, Sprint neglected to tell us a little of would-be deal-breaking details.

The montains of Colorado are paradise. Justin and I spent every summer there as children wile our parents raced horses in Denver. I’ve been back several times as an adult and if I ever get the chance, I will be livin there somewhere in those mountains-)

Then there is the “Jittebug,” which sells itself as a phone that’s a phone and nothing else, with buttons and numbers you can see and hit with a finger.

I joined a phone forum. At least we have a group of people that can answer questions.

I have a touch myself. You can use it as a phone if you have an earpiece, a VOIP service and wireless hotspot. I bought a retro handset the other day. I’m looking into VOIP services
