I remember when I used to cross over the river Mississippi and the river Ohio, not to mention the river Colorado.at what point and for what reason and in which countries does the word ‘river’ precede the name of the river?

The drinking water is on the upstream side of the hotel, the sewage goes out the downstream side. Let’s hope the river never reverses current. Yuck!

When my mother smoked, she read about a homemade recipe for ridding aphids and other pests from her houseplants. In involved soaking cigaret butts in water and applying the solution to the plants. It killed the bugs but the plants were safe.
