Still think he’ll be coaching. At my high school in 1970, we had a young, one-armed teacher who was a pretty good b-baller and could dunk. He also lost his arm in a car accident.
Steve’s degree in what? Anti perspirant? Dude, if you have a B.A. in English, have a tweed jacket with an elbow patch and buy a Miata with manual transmission, you’re in with that amazon. A pipe is optional.
Here it comes. Gil is going to offer Steve a chance to do some assistant coaching. Kaz might be getting some competition for face time in the strip after this.
P1 – “Work on my short game? As in short an arm?” Thanks a lot coach!"P3 – Put his degree to work? So he went to college, graduated and then immediately enrolled in the service?
And yes, if Gil is going to suggest he be an assistant coach, that is a horrible suggestion considering it probably pays $500/season.
When they first introduced this back in July, Gil told Mimi (while jogging in some nice short shorts) that Steve was a great kid who hadn’t even thought of college but he played his way to Kent State and graduated. Then Noah told Gil that Steve joined the army after college and became an officer.

Maybe he could go to work for a wallpaper store-you know, “busier than a one-armed paper hanger.”
