I have no need to edge my lawn. Huh.

I NEVER feel the need to edge. I am usually told that it needs to be done!

I much prefer an edged lawn. When I see my lawn next to the one across the street which is allowed to run over the sidewalk, I cringe. It just looks sloppy and, especially suiting the people across the street, lazy. (And, YES, I am the one who mows and weedwhacks…and edges in our family!)

I think it depends on the type of grass, doesn’t it? Florida lawn ‘grass’ is really a creeping weed, so it definitely needs to be edged.

It keeps the lawn within the boundaries it’s supposed to be in. It’s just not the grass or whatever, but the soil too.

I edge every time I mow. The house on the corner hasn’t edged in so long the grass has grown all the way over the sidewalk in places. In others, it’s simply dirt. Makes for a messy walk after the rain.
