I once had a personal letter delivered to me in a high school class. This was sufficiently unusual that the teacher stopped the class while I opened the letter to find it was from a college recruiting me as a future student (in my case, certainly not an athlete). How they got my name or knew where I went to high school, I have no idea.

Just tell your mom that the olive loaf is the reason you keep forgetting it and explain that you cannot stand it.

@AshburnStadium: Of course Mallet was inspired by Calvin and Hobbes. So was every other cartoonist in the past 30 years, and most non-cartoonists. He’s probably also inspired by Peanuts, fresh air, open road, sunrises, guinea pigs, and the Beatles. Folks get inspiration from all sorts of places, which is completely different from copying.

Maybe Kirsten forgot it on purpose.

Speaking of Hamsters – Where’s Lyle?

Darn, I was hoping for a mention of what pickle loaf smells like. I have no sense of smell. At least no external sense of smell. I think sinus operations when I was around 5 broke it, but the internal channel from the passage between mouth and nose seems to work because I can discriminate flavors easily that are supposed to need smell for that.

Egg salad is the worst smell, but so good! Tuna bad too. lol

Kid should be thrown out of school, just another victim of our education system, she’s become nothing but a pickle loafer.

I love pickle loaf.

Mallett has a thing about pickle loaf. It’s been referenced a number of times. (And don’t feed it to the cat!)
