@SUSANN NEWMAN: I agree, but one time I closed my eyes and didn’t feel a thing. The dentist insisted he used the needle. It’s looking at that awful needle that so scary.
@QuartermainHaha. That brought back memories. I don’t know when that “Front Teeth” song came out, but when I was a kid in the 1950’s and was missing my two front teeth around Christmas time, I got SICK of that dang tune! hahaha
In my home town, the dentist and the doctor had their surgeries in the same buildin and they would conspire and give the dental patients laughing gas and get them to sing much to the astonishment of those in the waiting room!

That is PRICELESS!
I was brave at the dentist until I had got the needles in my gums. EIGHT TIMES! Four one week and four the next week.
Now I am scared to go even if it’s just for a check up.
I will think of this comic strip next time I go.

No, what hurts is when the stuff in that needle wears off afterwards

My young daughter really did bite the dentist’s finger, and wouldn’t let go!

At least the dentist had the decency to wear gloves- in those days a lot of them didn’t!

Saw that joke on an old Burns & Allen show (AntennaTV).
