I didn’t know those even existed.

Oh yeah, they exist. They aren’t made of much though. When you smoosh ’em they turn into a gross little silvery smear with no recognizable parts.

P.S. I know this because I’m the designated bug slayer in my family. :)

The main reason why silverfish are pests is that they eat wood pulp. Any library is a veritable smorgasbord to them because of all the pre-/semi-digested food (i.e. paper) just lined up in all those neat rows — which make a great hiding place too!

I occasionally dine on Long John Silverfish…

And don’t forget they’re in Minecraft.
