boys and girls, you are witnessing the first ever “Extreme home makeover” with Jane and Tarzan getting an exciting trip to Nairobi while waiting for the house to finish, and when they return, they can say “move that elephant” to reveal the house
You are aware (I hope) that this strip was written – and drawn – in 1963. The strip was and remained for all of its run an action strip. “Family Values” didn’t enter into it too much. Tarzan & Jane had a son in the books but remember that most of the time the writers of the daily strips didn’t even acknowledge the existence of Jane. As for “fiscal responsibility,” between his estates in Kenya and his lands in England, plus the occasional treasure from a lost city, Tarzan is definitely one of the 1% rather than the 47%.

Coming next, Tarzan’s most horrifying adventure — shopping for home furnishings with Jane!

And that is just wrong. I am so glad that I have my dad’s old books which have not been changed.

Didn’t Tarzan (Johnny Weissmuller) dive off the Brooklin Bridge the first time Jane took him shopping?

@KatmanJump off the Empire State Building, dive off the bridge, run amok all over town. Typical tourist, try to do everything in NYC in one day.

Perhaps they will “run into” General Yeats and USAF Major Nurse Naomi Norman in Nairobi…..now THAT would be “exciting”! Hmmm….:)> Umgowa!!

The Clayton name is all that’s needed at the finest shops and haberdashers the world over.
