A CNN reporter said Tuesday Akin’s source for his ‘opinion’ came from a person who was apparently very important to the 2008 Romney campaign. Does anyone know the name of the man from whom this philosophy about women’s biology may have come?
I think “legitimate rape” here means “a legitimately claimed rape” — that is, in Akin’s opinion, a lot of so-called rapes aren’t really rapes at all. “You know those women, they’re always making stuff up. A guy just wants a little fun, and look at the ruckus!” I think that’s what he really means.
When do pro-lifers start protesting this:“The number of surplus embryos stored in the nation’s approximately 360 in vitro fertilization clinics promises to increase. No one knows how many embryos exist already, but some claim the number may be close to 200,000 – not counting the many others that are discarded immediately without being frozen.”

I live in Canada, where abortion is a medical matter between a woman and her doctor. And of course it’s covered by provincial health plans.
