I identify with Rose and her biker alter-ego. When I studied classical guitar in my younger days, I took refuge in picturing myself as a heavy-metal spandex-clad Lita Ford wannabe.

Rose’s alter-ego has a name. She’s Vicky.

Love this strip and all its characters—human and not quite.

I love Rose’s mom, looking all happy and content while she knits. I admire that woman.

Is a Harley in the rain still as polluting, wasteful of finite fossil fuels, and annoyingly noisy as a Harley on dry pavement? Would that all such unnecessary machinery were as imaginary as Rose’s!
