Man, only Nate could complain about something like this. He asked for a way to get class participation without actually participating and Mrs. Godfrey gave it to him. She’s a lot nicer to him than she should be.

I think Nate’s nose just got two shades browner.

So, if I just make any comment and not say anything, I’m participating? lol

I also think Mrs. G likes to bug Nate.

Too bad he can’t spit in it.

What the heck is the point of a “large decaf”? Might as well have water!

That’s gotta be against school rules. Making a student buy her a coffee?

She’s either trusting, brave, or downright stupid … what’s to keep Nate from spitting in her coffee?(I don’t believe Nate to be THAT spiteful)

If Mrs. Godfrey is the way she is and drinks decaff, Nate should thank his lucky stars that she doesn’t take her coffee straight!

Having worked in education for the better part of two decades, I can say with confidence no teacher drinks DECAF! Mrs. G is just yanking Nate’s chain a bit – and giving him some out-of-room time should be a bonus.

She’ll have him shining her shoes next.

In Charlie Brown’s day he would volunteer to clean the chalkboard erasers. I guess today Nate could volunteer to, I don’t know, clean the whiteboard? Maybe clear cache and cookies? She didn’t say which teacher, take the coffee to Mr. Rosa.

I just noticed a big similarity between the background kids in Nate’s class, and the background kids in Agnes’ class. I wonder if they go to the same school.

Back in the day, probably. Now? Gosh no. lol I always have had problems crystallising thoughts and the subject would be long gone before I could come up with the nswer I knew was always there.

I just paticvipate because I enjoy visiting with everyone. Remember: my friends live in my computer. Sigh. Such a sad life. That being said, I have salsa to make today. Mmm.

Great second panel, Lincoln!! You don’t do three-quarter, low-flying birds-eye views much, as your “bent” seems to be toward minimalism in the strip (well played, too!!).

This makes the G-Lady’s head look funny, viewed from behind as such…..come to think of it ALL of her looks funny, viewed from any angle! Haw! HAW!!

I’l LOVE an excuse to get out of class. Get to roam the halls, go to the cafeteria, goof a little on the way. Maybe grab a snack for myself. This is a reprieve Nate!
