They don’t call me a Hanging Judge for nothing. Mandatory sentences? Bah! The maximum! Off with their heads; or, tails…. And where are your nightflight safety lights and FAA Kite Code identification numbers? —You’re in a heap o’ trouble, boy!
I spent my sophomore year in Paris and did not see as much of the city then as I did in nine minutes….thankfully, I was in my chair at my desk this morning and not with Claude Lelouch!
‘When you’re loking for adventure of a new and different kind, and you run into a Girl Scout who is similarly inclined, don’t be nervous, don’t be flustered, don’t be scared, Be Prepared.’
Careful with the racket, choose with care which ball to hit, watch your follow through and avoid entangling delicate body parts in the net when trying to return a short volley.
I post many of your offerings on Facebook. One of my friends pointed out that there’s a great “making of” short about the ‘Rendezvous’ film, in which Lelouch retraces his route 30 years later, terrifying a journalist at the same time.
Re: CLAUDE LELOUCH – C’ÉTAIT UN RENDEZ-VOUS (1976)The video is no longer available due to a copyright claim. There is a remake(?) C’était PAS un RENDEZ VOUS à PARIS / REMAKE de LELOUCH
@BillThompson: A hofkünstler would be a performer attached to a noble’s court-signifying that he’s not just anybody calling himself an actor-he’s got credentials and is a quality performer.
Thanks Pete. I actually had in the back of my demented mind a double parody that Prof. Lehrer did incorporating first, a rather risque version of M.O.T.H.E.R and then another risque version of Humoresque – which would definitely have the GoComic censors banning me , had I printed it. I chose Samburg because of the tie in with the Park. Thanks for the link. I had almost forgotten all of Samburg’s verses.
For whatever reason, Saturday’s FA hasn’t yet appeared here (at 1:00 AM CDT), although it does show in the FB “check here first” box. Laughing on the outside, crying on the inside.

I like the black background. Easier on my eyes when I’m reading at Midnight.

Soaring to heights at night, just isn’t right. It isn’t polite to fly a kite without a light.

Yellowcake? The mixture of uranium compounds extracted from raw ores? I’ve heard of self-rising cake batters, but self-cooking is a new one on me.

My personal favorite is Lehrer’s “Be Prepared.”
