I think Opal means she takes “child-like” pleasure in painting. Earl, on the other hand, is childish

Two in one… Paint the neighbors dog.

I enjoy making my aunts poodle run around in circles until it throws up.

Earl’s approach is more productive.

Get you childish joy wherever you can! I love the painting and I have a dog next door Earl can squirt with the hose anytime – it barks all day long. Thankfully they put it in at night. (hmm – maybe I will get the hose out. Might be a new childish joy.)

Opal, childlike and childish are two different things. Now you know the problems that occur when you use the latter when you mean the former.

Not the same as you spending the night on the couch, Earl!

squirtting dogs, is a way to keep dogs out the yard. Do it afew times the dogs learn that they not wanted, they stay away. I don’t have clean after them. This was before the lease laws. (long ago)

Sounds like the same thing to me.

There’s no beer or TV sports or porn on Mars because men are from Mars; now that we’ve left, why would Mars have those things?
