Um …. this strip is a close duplicate of a Wiz-of-Id strip I read in a paperback collection — no more than a recycled joke from the same strip of years past .. in the original, the wording in the 2nd panel says “I know the law here. You can’t make an arrest if I can walk between these two lines.” In the 3rd panel, Bung ends up hanging from shackles in a cell all by his lonesome …. wonder if the folks who currently write/draw this strip ever read the older original strips to make sure they don’t make duplicates … or do they recycle older strips for a quick day off? Remember, some of us have near photographic memories and we are going to notice such things.

I actually tried to find a stunning girl in a Juicy Fruit commercial. Succeeded, too, but didn’t get to meet her. (although she wanted to drop by my college, she said she had the flu and sounded like it).
