Caption: This Summer, we visited the Sept. 11th memorial near Shanksville, Pennsyl-vania--- The rock marks the final rest-ing place of united flight 93--- Looking at the chiseled names, the hand-made cards, the peaceful field--- Our hearts and minds became overwhelmed with emotion--- God bless all the heroes of 9-11 and their loved ones--- And god bless America.

Teresa and I went to Shanksville this summer, as it suggests in the comic. It was very emotional. I just want to say to you that if you are an American, and if you haven’t paid a visit to either of the 9/11 sites, and you are physically capable of doing so, that you think strongly about going. God bless you all.

Thank you Gilchrist(s)

No, it was muslims who did this. Christians and Jews do not try to become martyrs by killing themselves and others to prove a point. It was the hatefilled “peace” loving islam who did this.

Baldo had one too. I am sure there are many others that I don’t read each day.

Don’t say religious fanatics planned the attack. None of the terrorists were a bit religious. If they were, they’d be loving and kind. We have to remember our fallen heroes. God bless them.

Never mistake muslims as those who perpetrated 9/11. Muslim faith itself is peaceful and honourable. Those who perpetrated 9/11 twisted it into something horrible.

What, no “nice rack!” comments? Probably Too Soon. Anyway, yeah, they always do a nice little memorial strip on 9/11, thought they tend to be a little overblown in sentimentality. I appreciate the effort, though. I’ve decided to consider the 10th anniversary the last one I’d feel grief and try to re-live that day in my mind and watch the cable stuff. At this point, as from the beginning, we must never forget about the anger and outrage of the attacks. Think about vigilance and dedication to what we believe in and prevent these barbarians from doing such a thing again (or likely much worse). On a side note, Canada (jokes aside) has been our ally forever. Welcome to the Comments. Also, I agree we should all visit these memorials. I hope to once the new complex is finished in New York so I can remember the victims and glory in the magnificent buildings going up.

Yes, welcome to the comments on this particular subject, not in general. As in, thank you for caring. We were attacked, not Canada, yet Canadians seem to recognize the threat and sympathize (or at least empathize) with us and it’s appreciated. And Ken Taylor, may he rest in peace, was thanked quite extensively, it seems to me. More importantly, Canadians have fought on America’s side in every war we’ve ever had, major or minor (an exception may exist, but doesn’t come to mind). In any case, Canada is our friend and we do not forget that or take it lightly. Three cheers for Canada!
