Mine will run in a set pattern around the the yard at night, which I call securing the perimeter and then race into the house and goes in his crate and falls asleep.

My neighbors’ 4 dogs do the same thing: Bark incessantly all evening before bedtime. Gets on my nerves when I have my windows open, such this time of year ….
