i would never take a book into the bath tub. mainly because if i dropped it i would go nuts waiting for the pages to dry out so i could continue reading. as for the kindle thing, i guess i’m a “Samuel Cogley” at heart.
(Trekkers will probably get the reference.)
Well if we can build digital cameras and watches that will work underwater, we can waterproof an e-reader for the bathtub. Don’t you think? Not that I would take a book or e-reader into a bath with me. I prefer reading curled up in bed in a nice warm cozy space. And yes I prefer paper to the e-readers.
Jelindley is right about tree farming, but I like the more succinct response: Trees grow back!
(Historical footnote: Before the American prairies became the breadbasket for the world, the East Coast was heavily cleared for farming, with the result that there are more trees in America now than in the early 19th century.)

Actually the trees used for paper are farmed. Cut 1 plant 1. Still, I like her poking fun at the trees rights kid.

Can you read a kindle in the bathtub? End argument.

Well, the sale of the bath trays would go up; it would catch the kindle or that other brand.

girls, I know how to compromise – go to a used book store. you get excellent books at a fraction of the price and don’t harm any more trees.
I bought a hardcover copy of the Da Vinci Code for $1.50 and this store will buy it back if I want to sell it

“Free range trees?” What are they, Druids?
