Considering that “full price” for medications these days can be well over $100,000 a year, I can certainly understand this form of “resistance.” I think full-scale rebellion is in order. Novartis, for example, bleats and bellows about the cost of drug development while making billions – yes, that’s with a B – in profits and spending more on PR than they do on research. You don’t believe me? Go look it up. The numbers are right there in their annual report. That’s how brazen these profiteers are.
Since we’re talking about, I get a med through the mail, that if I got it at the pharmacy would be FIVE times more expensive. Same exact thing – no generic – no ‘online pharmacy’ thing – $30 a month versus $150 a month. Go figure. At least I have the mail option.
