I absolutely HATE these kinds of parties with a passion (whether they’re Tupperware, Pampered Chef, etc.) and avoid them at all costs. Going to one pretty much obligates you into purchasing something — anything — just to be polite and even the smallest, “cheapest” thing you can find is still terribly expensive. But if a friend ever managed to talk me into co-hosting such a party with her, then it would have to be at HER house — not mine! If it were my idea, then it would be a different story.
Guy’s Night is an absolute necessity, regardless of whether the ladies are having a party or not. The chance to get “down and dirty” reinforces one’s masculinity, and helps to let off steam. It’s a good excuse to drink beer and watch sports, too. ;-)
Yes Tupperware parties still happen. My sister held one. Me I do not. I do not go to parties and I’m with John. One time at church I attended two women were talking about one and one just pipped up and invited me, needless to say I did not go to for when invited was out of pity.

You wouldn’t want him there, anyway, Ellie. He’d only be in the way, trust me!

Visitors = deep cleaning. It’s one of those natural laws. So, John, you gonna help or not?

John, follow the advise of that sage Monty Python: “RUN AWAY”.
