The wooden Cyclone roller coaster at New York's Coney Island, USA, has been in operation for more than 85 years! On June 14, 2012, 2-year-old Jesus Rodriguez of Durango, Mexico, underwent a 10 hour operation to remove a 33 pound benign tumor that weighed more than the rest of his body! On June 10, 2012, members of the Alaska National Guard discovered the remains of a crashed plane in an Alaskan mountain glacier. The aircraft disappeared on Nov. 22, 1952, with 52 people aboard!

Last coaster I rode I think I literally popped a blood vessel in my brain. New Roller coasters have gone extreme.

I don’t know if it’s true, but some people claim that the roller coaster at Lagoon, in Farmington, Utah is the oldest wooden roller coaster in North America. It was built in 1921.“Lagoon” is mentioned in the Beach Boys song Salt Lake City.

Kennywood Park, located outside of Pittsburgh PA in West Mifflin, is home to three very old wooden roller coasters. The Jack Rabbit and Racer must be in their 90s. The Thunderbolt is about 43. Great rides.
