It’s not arrogant to want to think you’ve made a difference. The arrogance comes when you’re certain you’ve been a Force for Good.
But that’s one of the nice things about Heaven, I guess; everyone gets to think they made a difference, whether they did or not.
“To know all is to forgive all” (Mme. De Stael). If God is Perfectly Compassionate, eveybody gets into Heaven. If God is Perfectly Just, nobody does. :-)
