But…but…but…little kids are soooo tasty! I don’t want to totally forget that. Do you have a kid around here who I can just munch on a bit to help me taper off?
As a kid, it never occurred to me that there might be beings under my bed, much less that they would be monsters out to get me. Makes me wonder where other kids get the idea. Maybe from their parents, who try to frighten them into staying quietly in bed all night?
I believed monsters couldn’t reach up and get me if I kept all the covers tucked in. Worked well during the winter, but not so well in the summertime…danged hot under tucked-in covers.
