Books are great. They give you something to burn in the fireplace when you run out of logs. Try doing that with your Kindles.

A lot of movies cut out a lot of what the book has to say.

We often compare movies to books. We say “The book was better!”

Unless you can’t visualize… people who love watching a movie in their mind often don’t realize that not everyone can do that.

I often compare movies to reading. And with few exceptions movies are inferior. This is usually obvious when you compare a movie to the book it’s based on, and some very popular examples would be the LOTR series and the Harry Potter series

Having a dirty mind, this reminds me of an unsavory joke about “the thinking man’s TV”,

It’s one of those arguments that will never cease or even come close. Me, I stay out of the fray whether it’s movie, book, fruit or sweets. When I’m craving pineapple, I don’t reach for a Snickers. Snickers make a pretty awful pineapple upside down cake. On the other hand, a pineapple is difficult to sneak into the movie theater under my coat, so I go for a Snickers.
