Alice: Our class guinea pig is so cute! Beni: But he never does anything. Mr. Danders: Ah - that is the way of the guinea pig. We respond to stimuli by becoming small lumps of inertia, implacable in our stillness. Alice: Tell me more of this "inertia." I like the sound of it. Beni: I dunno. It smacks of the "bump-on-a-logism" my mom so roundly condemns.
