Cul de Sac by Richard Thompson for June 15, 2008
Transcript:
Petey: Look, Dad's home. Alice: Hey, Dad! You're late. We've finished our dinner. Mom put yours in the fridge. It started to shrivel. Petey: Gee, Dad, you look awful. Was there a fight at work? Alice: Now I can do my song for you! And my dance! Petey: Was there a road-rage incident? Alice: I'll sing loud so you can hear it over the dancing. Petey: Were the police involved. Noise: SLAM! SLAM! Alice: You'd think an inspiring moment with the Arts would be a perfect end to a dad's day. But NO. Beni: The repressive, boorish father is a standard figure in all artists' lives. Dill: Yeah, and it sounds like the police are after him anyway.
You people are right, this is a good comic strip!
