Alice: Mom, have I been to the beach before? Mom: Yes. Last year. Remember? You made that big sandcastle and played in the waves? And flew a kite shaped like a fish? And we played mini-golf every night? Alice: Did the place where we stayed have a lamp with seashells in it? Mom: Um, yes, I think it did - Alice: That lamp was great! I LOVE the beach!
LOL! This is totally how I used to remember things as a kid - that one random object that was so fascinating would end up defining the entire experience.
