Some of us have long thought that, when they have grown up, Alice will marry Dill. It seems to be written in their stars. On the other hand, Richard may have other destinies in mind for them….
Olfart, Mo Willems writes and illustrates some of the most popular kids’ books out there at the moment. My boys are 3 and 5 and LOVE his “Knuffle Bunny” books and his “Pigeon” books. He has much of the same sense of whimsy as Richard Thompson … some of my favourite lines from his book are “Scooty scooty scoot” (the sound of a baby duckling sneaking up on the pigeon as he discovers a hot dog) and “Aggle flaggle clabble!” (baby talk for “Father, you have inadvertently left my favourite toy in the laundromat!”) They are simply drawn and written, and completely charming.
Unfortunately Dill this is a side effect of love. All twisted up on the inside and out. LOLNicely done Mo. I like how Alice’s shirt changed from positive to negative with her comment.
@olfart, your query started me on a Net search which produced results ranging from the intriguing to the disturbing and included the possibilities that Mo is a collective or that Mo was an animator who has moved on to a higher plane. Mo, who are you?
@olfart: Mo Willems isn’t generally a comic strip guy – he is a top-notch children’s book illustrator. Google his name or search him on Amazon on books like “Pigs Make Me Sneeze” and “The Duckling Gets a Cookie”.
The clueless are just commenting in numbers today. If they ever bothered to read the bloody comments, we’d probably be able to go a full week without seeing any like the one above.

Drawing continues to be terrible. Is Richard ill? Looks like it is trying to become Peanuts.

I kind of suspected Dill had a crush when he started looking through their mail box.
That pickle barrel is getting full, Fellow Baby. We may need another one.

This one is verging on morphing into a Lynda Barry strip…but I like that.

Love the strip, but please count me as a vote for the old drawing style.
